A guest-first approach to branded overlays, sharing, keepsakes and activation flow — and how to prove the activation worked.

A photobooth at a corporate event is rarely just a photobooth. Done properly it is a branded touchpoint that every guest chooses to walk into, hand over their attention to, and then share on their own channels. Done carelessly it is a queue in the corner with a printer that runs out of paper.

Start with the guest, not the logo

The fastest way to kill an activation is to make it feel like an advert. Guests engage with something that flatters them — good light, a considered backdrop, a print they want to keep. The branding earns its place around that experience, not on top of it.

The four decisions that matter

  • Placement — visible from the main flow of the room, but never blocking the bar or the stage.
  • Overlay design — one clear mark, generous margins, and colours that read against skin tones.
  • Sharing path — instant QR download so the image reaches the guest's phone while they are still in the room.
  • Keepsake — a printed strip guests physically carry home is still the highest-retention takeaway we offer.
If a guest would keep the print with no logo on it, the logo is welcome. If they wouldn't, the design needs another pass.

Measuring it afterwards

Every Syzygy activation is delivered with a full media set and session counts, so you can report on participation rate against headcount, downloads, and the volume of content your guests generated on your behalf. That turns a line item on the event budget into a number your marketing team can actually use.
